J&B makes Whisky, and theyre headquartered in the UK, and its distilled in, Scotland. I had to do some research on this myself, as Im more of a 420 Gurl ;) Its an acquired taste., but I did purchase a small bottle the other day to show my support for them. I think that part of what makes this so relatable for many of us, including those such as myself who transitioned later in life, is that it shows not only the struggle of being in the closet, but also the long and sometimes awkward process of learning so many new things. This IMHO raises the bar on how Trans people are depicted in commercial adverts. In recent years weve seen companies like Nabisco, usually around Pride month, run commercials showing son/daughter introducing to their parents a same sex "friend", and eventually mom/dad come to realize the friend is actually a BF/GF,, and all ends happily after. Which is really really great dont get me wrong at all. I wouldnt mind at all if J&B continued this as a short series,. Im also wondering if the reason why J&B decided t set this in, Spain, is that besides the anti Trans mafia in the UK,, the Spanish gov, recently passed legislation that makes it easier for a Trans person to change their name,,. Final note; Just before Christmas break, I sent a link for this video to a work colleague in Spain. Im eagerly awaiting to see what I get as a reply when I return to work next week :)
