Ive honestly never (previously)seen, Alien, as a metaphor for the post-70s world. But Id say you make some great comparisons to it. My take is perhaps more simple. That the Alien is a metaphor for being Trans; Something carefully hidden away, suspended, but when (accidentally?) rediscovered becomes a force unto itself that takes over a persons body and entire being. Ehhh,, whada I know,, ;)
