I understand how, Caitlynn, has caught a lot of “shade” from many in the Trans community. But for myself, being older and remembering her as this wunderkin at the Olympics 45 years ago, and now seeing her as this beautiful woman, makes me believe that anything is possible. Parts of her early transition were more than a bit awkward. But I hope that she is able to use her unique position to benefit others less fortunate. As Ive said regarding her authenticity; Unlike many of her Sisters, she may never have to worry about keeping roof over her head or having food on the table. Or getting anything but the very best for medical care. Still, at the end of the day when she is all by herself, she has the very same hopes, fears, and dreams as the rest of us.
