I know that you two live far apart, maybe thats just as well.

But what I want to take away from this article is that real-world intimacy, real reciprocated connection, is the essential first step in solving most of our problems. We will always be divided if the majority of people we see are strangers on a screen. We will always be armored and defensive if we only see each other as “good guys and bad guys”. We need to get to know each other, so we can love each other no matter how much we disagree.
