Class of '78 here. A few years ago, shortly after officially becoming Stephanie, I attended my 40th reunion and had a wonderful time. Although I can also say that most of my memories of HS and even worse JrHS, are similar to yours. Back then there were no words to describe being Trans so it was just assumed that I was Gay. Which I knew didnt apply to me.
